Richard Gauld’s invaluable experience as a local authority Tree Officer within a Planning Department and currently as a consultant, can help you when liaising with local authorities for authorisation to build.
If you are looking to get planning permission for a site, whether domestic or commercial, an arboricultural report, written to the guidance and recommendations contained within the British Standard 5837:2012 – Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction, will be required by the local authority Planning Department before any decisions can be made and put before Councillors.
Detailed surveys are carried out and contained within a report containing information on the current health and safety of each tree and any recommended works to be carried out with timescale, site overview and plan, photographs, site specific issues including conservation areas and tree preservation orders, and canopy / root protection recommendations during any construction works. Future tree planting advice and planning can also be included.
